Privacy Policy
Daywink is designed to work without an account. Most personal content stays on your device, and we do not sell personal data or use it for cross-app tracking.
Who is responsible
Daywink ("we", "us") provides the Daywink app and website. Privacy questions and deletion requests can be sent to support@daywink.app.
Information stored on your device
The app may store your chosen display name, birth details, MBTI answers, diary entries, saved readings, wardrobe photos and app preferences on your device. This content is not routinely uploaded to us. You can reset individual areas in the app, clear the wardrobe, or remove all local data by deleting the app. The data export and restore tools let you move a copy yourself.
Information used by online features
- AI requests: text you submit, relevant context you choose to use, language, feature name, and an optional attached photo or on-device garment cut-out are relayed through our server to our AI processor, currently Volcengine Ark. We do not store ordinary AI conversation text or submitted images in our operational database. The processor receives them to produce the requested response.
- AI feedback: if you deliberately submit a quality report, the reported question, answer and note are stored so we can investigate it. A simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down stores only the rating and technical context, not the conversation text.
- Weather: after your consent and iOS permission, the app rounds coordinates to about 1 km and sends them directly to Open-Meteo to obtain the current temperature. Daywink does not store those coordinates on its server.
- App operation and analytics: a random installation identifier, app language/region, basic feature events, request timing/status and configuration version may be stored to operate the service, prevent abuse and understand reliability. This identifier is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Purchases and notifications: Apple processes payments. We may receive transaction and subscription status from Apple to provide paid features. If you enable notifications, an Apple Push Notification service token and language are stored for delivery.
Photos
Wardrobe segmentation and most photo processing happen on-device. A reduced garment cut-out is sent only when you use the online garment-recognition feature. A chat photo is sent only after you attach and submit it. Daywink does not use these images for advertising.
Service providers and international processing
We use service providers to host the API, generate AI responses, obtain weather data, and process purchases and notifications. These include Tencent Cloud (hosting), Volcengine Ark (AI), Open-Meteo (weather), and Apple (payments and push notifications). Requests may be processed outside your country. We share only what is needed for the requested service.
Retention
Ordinary AI prompts and images are not written to our operational database. Pseudonymous service events, purchase records and user-submitted AI reports are retained only as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure and improve the service, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Backups expire on a rolling schedule. We may retain aggregated statistics that no longer identify an installation.
Your choices and rights
You can decline location and notifications without losing the core app. You can delete local content with the controls in the app and manage purchases in your Apple account. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing. Contact support@daywink.app; we may need limited information to locate the pseudonymous record and verify the request.
Children
Daywink is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS, access controls and operational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We will post material policy changes here and update the effective date. If a change requires consent, we will request it in the app.
